About Us
Eveready Hire Limited (T/A Eveready Plant and Tool Hire) was established in 2003 with the aim of supplying quality plant and tools to the construction industry. Since then, the business has grown significantly with depots now conveniently located at Chessington, Godstone, Heathrow, Sevenoaks, Watford and Yateley, and included the acquisition of established firm Rawstone Hire Limited in 2024. Eveready’s commitment for customer satisfaction, means we can deliver to much of the South East and further afield.
We service and maintain all our own equipment, ensuring that customers always get reliable, safe and modern tools to complete their job. We pride ourselves on having an excellent pre-hire and post-hire service, friendly approachable staff, and a comprehensive and affordable range of equipment at each depot. We like to collaborate closely with our clients to engage in a mutually beneficial partnership. We understand that time is money, so we will always aim to deliver on time.
Health and safety
We are increasingly aware of the health and safety needs of our clients, so are fully briefed and up to date with the latest guidance and regulations. Each Item is inspected and issued with a pre-hire report and relevant certificate to ensure it is in line with our stringent health and safety policy.
Should a machine break down whilst on site or endure a puncture or a hydraulic leak, we aim to attend and fix the problem within a couple of hours with a full report to confirm if it is chargeable.
Our service to you
Weekly on-hire reports can be sent if you would find it useful to avoid any invoice queries. Statements and invoices can be emailed directly to you.

Eveready are proud to have been awarded FORS - Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme Silver Accreditation. Building on our existing Bronze accreditation, Eveready has taken extra steps to prove that our fleet is not only safe and compliant but actively improving in the areas that matter most: safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Along with cutting costs by reducing fuel use, emissions and road risk, Silver accreditation means Eveready qualifies for contracts requiring Work-Related Road Risk (WRRR) and CLOCS compliance.
Our effort to demonstrate ongoing improvement and professional fleet management means you can trust Eveready as your plant and tool hire supplier. We’re also staying ahead of ULEZ and industry regulations with cleaner vehicles, data tracking, and staff training.
